The Art of Retirement...
Opening the Next Door

Retire... Redecorate... Repurpose... Rejoice!

My name is Tina Toedt (pronounced "Tate") and I love to retire. In fact, I love it so much, I have done it 3 times. A little like the boy who cried wolf, my close knit group of friends asked me if this time it would stick and I can say it has. But my 3 times a charm story has given me a heart to help other people retire well the first time. To do so, one has to follow the four R's: Retire (The first and last time) Redecorate, Repurpose, and Rejoice.

Like most things in life, hindsight is 20-20, but I hope my story can be one that helps your group navigate theirs with eyes wide open. I would love the opportunity to speak to your group about their retirement journey. Whether they are retired, or thinking about retirement, know someone else retiring soon, or struggling in retirement, I would love to be a part of their journey. They will be introduced to redecorating their life, repurposing it, and subsequently rejoicing in the outcome.

A favorite of mine, the famous Mr. Fred Rogers, used to say, "Often, when you are at the end of something, you are at the beginning of something else." Fred is right. In all the endings of your life, it's important to see the new beginnings.

I would be honored to guide the special people in your life to see their new beginning, and to share my experience with them. Thank you!

In addition to speaking engagements, Tina also enjoys connecting with families and schools by hosting a table at special events such as Grandparents’ Day or book fairs. These settings provide a wonderful opportunity to share her book, meet readers in person, and engage with the community in a more personal way.

Whether through a presentation or simply being present at a venue, Tina values every chance to celebrate meaningful moments with students, grandparents, and families.
